Israeli mobile games company, Playtika, has once again partnered with the global initiative Plant a Tree Efforts by Dots.Eco to restore forests, combat climate change and address biodiversity loss.
This collaboration, launched on January 5, has resulted in the planting of over 21,000 trees worldwide, equivalent to 15 football fields of dense forest. Playtika engaged its Best Fiends game community, encouraging players to participate in specially designed levels where in-game rewards translated into trees planted. These efforts spanned two weeks and contributed to tree planting in countries like Canada, Honduras, and the US.
Notably, this isn't the first collaboration between Playtika and Dots.Eco; in 2023, they planted 300,000 trees through in-game rewards in Playtika's House of Fun zone.
Best Fiends, a match-3 puzzle game, not only entertains players but also inspires positive environmental action, as stated by Best Fiends' general manager, Liran Paz.
